Salary: Level 9 – $82,081.96 – 96,024.28

Location: Haines Junction (preference) or Whitehorse

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Associate Director of Education is responsible for directing the provision of a full range of education, training and employment development programs and services to the Champagne & Aishihik community. All services shall be delivered based upon strategic values, vision, goals and objectives of the Champagne & Aishihik First Nation. This position has the specific challenge of ensuring that education and training services are fairly and consistently applied. The position is also responsible for assisting in developing plans and strategies; developing and recommending education, and training policy requirements; and for providing reports and recommendations to the Executive Director. The position is a member of the senior management team and will work in cooperation with other departmental directors and managers on joint initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Incumbent should possess a degree or diploma in education administration or a combination of post-secondary education plus experience in a related field. 5 years’ experience in a Senior Management role preferably in a First Nations environment.

Conditions of Employment:

Criminal Records and Vulnerability Check is required

Class 5 Driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
