Are you looking to build your leadership skills through an exciting hands-on learning with others from across Canada? The Gordon Foundation is hosting an online Treaty Simulation for Indigenous emerging leaders following the Land Claims Agreement Coalition Leadership Meeting. The simulation will take place March 9 – 12, 2021 (half-days) with a pre-Simulation preparation session on March 3, 2021 (half-day). Participants will receive a certificate of completion and some support if needed.
Participants will come out of the experience with an understanding of the importance of treaties for all Canadians. They will also build new connections as well as skills in negotiation, leadership, public speaking, working in teams, and proposal writing.
The simulation will take place online via Zoom video conference – participants will need access to a computer with internet, camera and microphone.
LCAC members please email email@example.com by Nov 30 with your one participant’s info (name, age, email, phone #) and if financial support is needed for space or equipment rental. Able to have one participant per LCAC member, suggested age is 18-25 (flexible).
