CAFN Staff Meeting and Annual Staff Christmas Dinner (Cook & Cooks Helpers)

(1) Head Cook (2 days – one event day and two shopping/prep days) $300.00/day

Mandatory Certification:

Food Safe Levels I and II

Standard First Aid

Conditions:

Be the lead on the delivery of lunch and afternoon snack for approx. 100 people and also dinner for approx. 150 people.

Submit healthy menu and be mindful of some dietary restrictions (Vegan, Onions (includes any seasonings), Dairy, Gluten Free and possible alternative to beef)

Must purchase food and supplies and be able to shop on reasonable budget supplied to them

 Must be able to coordinate the shopping with a cook’s helper

 Be able to communicate well and coordinate/supervise the cook helpers for delivery of all prep and meals for the event in a timely manner

(1) Cook Helper (2 days –one event day and one shopping day) $200.00/day

Mandatory Certification:

 Food Safe Levels I and II

Conditions:

Assist Head cook with shopping food and supplies on shopping/prep day

 Assist in the delivery of all prep and meals for the event in a timely manner

 Set up and dismantling of serving area and assist with serving if necessary

(2) Cook’s Helper (1 day – event day) $200.00/day

Mandatory Certification:

Food Safe Levels I and II

Conditions:

Assist in the delivery of all prep and meals for the event in a timely manner

 Set up and dismantling of serving area and assist with serving if necessary

 Ensure beverage station is kept clean and stocked

 Clean up after all meals and snack break

 Assist with the cleanliness of the food prepping and delivery/serving areas

All Cook and Cook Helpers are responsible to:

Provide their own transportation to and from the event and/or shopping

 Ensure all kitchen appliances are cleaned inside and out

 Ensure all dishes, pots & pans, utensils and cleaned and put away

 Ensure all counters and kitchen is cleaned

 Ensure garbage in hall and kitchen has been disposed of properly

(2) Set-up and Clean-up Helpers (1 day –event day) $150.00/day

Set-up hall for Staff Christmas Dinner

 Decorate where/if required

 Ensure garbage has been disposed of properly

 Ensure tables and chairs are wiped down

 Help cooks where/if required

 Clean-up hall after Staff Christmas Dinner

Capacity & Policy Development Department will not be responsible to submit anyone’s name via a phone call or email instruction. Each applicant will be responsible to submit an updated resume and copies of all updated certificates.
