What is Youth Pursuit of Excellence?

Eligibility Criteria

• Youth must be between the ages of 15 to 19.
• Youth must demonstrate a strong interest in community values and role modeling and must understand that this is an educational opportunity not a vacation.
• All youth must be committed to participate fully in all aspects of the program.
• Must refrain from alcohol and drugs for the duration of the trip.

Successful applicants must agree to participate in and complete any pre-program preparations and/or post assignments as directed by the advisory committee.

Youth must demonstrate some or all of the following qualities: strong passion for learning leadership qualities and/or potential to develop these qualities and a desire to make a difference.

The YPOE is an endeavor of CAFNs to assist you with some tools to help you on your paths of becoming young adults and is very costly. Successful applicants must accept the responsibility to act as a representative of Champagne and Aishihik First Nations and community.
