Champagne and Aishihik First Nations and Yukon Government are working on a Local Area Plan for the Alaska Highway West corridor (roughly between Takhini and Haines Junction).
When complete, this Plan will coordinate land uses and minimize conflicts. As a first step, a Draft Background Report has been prepared. Public meetings will be held to present the Draft Background Report, gather more information, and identify gaps.
