REQUEST FOR COMMITTEE MEMBERS – EXTENDED

Champagne and Aishihik First Nations (CAFN) is seeking applications from Citizens to apply to participate on the following committee.

Haines Junction Community Justice Committee (HJCJ)

CAFN is seeking two Citizens for the Haines Junction Community Justice Committee for a term of term of two years. The Committee has six members: three appointed by CAFN Chief and Council and three by the Haines Junction Mayor and Council.

Purpose of the Committee:
PROMOTE community healing;
FACILITATE justice at a community level;
DEVELOP positive relationships within the community;
EDUCATE the community about justice alternatives that exist;
DEMONSTRATE accountability to the community regarding justice matters; and
ESTABLISH a proactive approach to dealing with long-term community wellness.

Honoraria and travel costs are reimbursed.

DEADLINE TO APPLY: October 23rd by 4:30 p.m.
