Time in Lieu Agreement

In accordance with CAFN Human Resource
Manual: 4.5 Overtime Guidelines

I agree to make every effort to take “time-in-lieu” (paid time off) for all pre-approved overtime hours worked above 8 hours in a day, within any period of 24 consecutive hours or 40 hours in a standard work week. A standard work week begins midnight on Saturday and ends on midnight the following Saturday. I understand that this time will be banked at 1.5 hours of time in lieu for each hour of over time worked. Only with permission from my supervisor can I be paid out on my next regular pay.

I further understand that time in lieu must be taken before any other type of Leave with Pay. Should there be a remaining balance at the end of the year or term, Payroll will pay out the remaining balance. I understand that I will be paid for the “time-in-lieu” hours I have earned.

If for any reason my employment with CAFN ends, I will be paid out for all banked “time-in-lieu” hours earned on my final pay.
