Klukshu Spring Break Camp

March 12-16, 2019 – Klukshu Hall

1 Head Camp Cook – 6 days
(5 camp days + 1 shopping day)

Mandatory Certification:
• Food Safe Levels I
• Valid 1st Aid/CPR is an asset
• Previous Head Cook experience
• Class 5 drivers with your own vehicle.

• Must provide a Kid Friendly Healthy Menu and able to shop on a budget supplied to them.
• Provide Gluten and Dairy Free options.
• Must be able to coordinate the shopping with the Cook’s Helper for the amount of people attending the Camp.
• Be the lead on the delivery of all meals at Spring Camp.
• Provide their own cooking utensils, pot, pans or responsible for obtaining and returning what is available to them from the CAFN offices.
• Be able to communicate well and coordinate the kitchen workers for delivery of all the food prep and meals.
• Must stay in the budget provided.
• Provide own transportation to and from Camp.
• Report to the Lead Camp Coordinator/Education Support Worker.

Cook’s Helper – 6 days
(5 camp days + 1 shopping day) $250.00/day

Mandatory Certification:
• Food Safe Levels I
• Valid 1st Aid/CPR is an asset
• Previous experience

• Assist the Head Camp Cook with the grocery shopping for the amount of people in camp within a budget.
• Help the Head Camp Cook prepare and deliver all meals and snacks for the Spring Camp.
• Assist with the cleanliness of the food prepping area and of food delivery areas.
• Maintain and stock the beverage station and ensure the snack areas are clean.
• Provide own transportation to and from Camp.

Cook Helper/Cleaner – 5 days

Mandatory Certification:
• Food Safe Levels I is an asset
• Help Cooks when required.
• Wash dishes, pots and pans as required.
• Clean up after meals and snacks
• Ensure Kitchen, Hall and bathrooms are maintained, Swept and mopped when required and on the last day.

Camp Maintenance – 5 days $200.00/day

Mandatory Certification:
• Valid 1st Aid/CPR is an asset
• Own power saw and truck would be an asset.

• Maintain camp wood supply, for the camp fire and hall.
• Maintain the Generator
• Camp maintenance help as needed around camp.
• Helping unload and load supplies for camp.


YOUTH LEADERS X 2 – 4.5 days

• Valid 1st Aid/CPR, Baby sitter course is an asset.
• Previous Experience an asset.

Leaders are in charge of assisting the camp coordinators with the kid’s games and other various camp activities and outdoor activities.

The youth leader shall role model positive healthy behavior and life style during camp and will also commit to staying in Łu Ghą camp.

The 2 Youth leaders;
one male and one female, shall be of 17+ years of age.
All positions are: Responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the place of employment. CAFN Education Department will not be responsible to submit anyone’s name via a phone call or email instruction. Each applicant will be responsible to submit an updated resume and copies of all updated certificates.
