Salary: Level 6 – $62,177 – $72,738

Location: Haines Junction
Reporting to the Wellness Manager, this position is primarily responsible for coordinating community justice initiatives including Circles (healing, diversion and sentencing) and other Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) processes (conferencing and mediation) for criminal matters and non-criminal disputes within the Haines Junction community. The Coordinator works closely with the Haines Junction Community Justice Committee (HJCJC) and is responsible for managing the program budget, which also includes expenditures for workshops and presentations on relevant issues.
Education and Experience:
Completion of at least 2 years of post-secondary education in Law, Justice, Criminology or related field and extensive experience working in community justice, particularly with First Nations or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Conditions of Employment:
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 4 driver’s license would be an asset)
- Vulnerable Sectors Records Check
- Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends, as required
- Ability and willingness to travel, as required
- Mandatory confidentiality is a condition for all CAFN personnel
