Term Full-time (ASAP – October 2026)

Salary: Level 7 – $70,260.00 – $82,194.00

Job Summary: JD ESW HJ

Reporting to the Education Manger, this position will be responsible for promoting students’ personal and academic successes, supporting parent and guardian involvement in student’s education, advocating for students and families, and promotes cultural and other learning opportunities for all students, parents, teachers, school staff and community members for Whitehorse secondary schools, in order to promote positive inter-community relations between CAFN students, parents and the school. This position will also perform administrative and project work.

 

Education and Experience:

Successful completion of post-secondary education, preferably in the fields of education or social work or one year’s experience in counseling combined with one or more years’ experience in delivering and managing cultural and/or general education programs; and experience working with First Nations students, schools and communities; or an equivalent combination of training, work and life experience.

 Conditions of Employment:

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 4 driver’s license would be an asset)
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Vulnerable Sectors Records Check
  • Food Safe Level 1
  • Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends, as required
  • Ability and willingness to travel, as required
  • Mandatory confidentiality is a condition for all CAFN personnel
