Job Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director and sitting as a member of the Management Committee, this senior management position is responsible for directing the provision of a full range of education, training and employment development programs and services to the Champagne & Aishihik community. This position has the specific challenge of ensuring that education and training services are fairly and consistently applied. The position is also responsible for developing workplans, budgets, strategies; and recommending education, and training policy requirements. The incumbent is responsible for providing reports and recommendations to the Executive Director.
Education and Experience:
Incumbent should possess a degree or diploma in education administration or a combination of post-secondary education plus experience in a related field. Extensive knowledge and experience in supervising and/or leading staff, developing and managing programs is required. 5 years’ experience in a Senior Management role preferably in a First Nations environment.
Conditions of Employment:
- Criminal Record Check.
- Valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s license would be asset.
- Willing and able to travel within Yukon communities, and outside Yukon as requested.
- Willingness to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
