Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Education, this position is a key role in the Dän kʼè Kwänje Ghàkenīdän program team that ensures the program runs smoothly and Dän Nakwäkhęl are supported. This position acts as the hub of information between students, staff and administration within the Dän kʼè Kwänje Ghàkenīdän Program.

The role of Dän Nakwäkhęl Support Officer is the front-line contact for Dän Nakwäkhęl, helping them to address day-to-day issues and acting as a conduit between the Dän Nakwäkhęl and other CAFN citizen facing programs and services. The Dän Nakwäkhęl Support Officer will also work as part of the One Window resource team within the larger CAFN structure and perform other related duties.

Education and Experience:
Grade 12 with post-secondary education in business administration, education or other related field along with experience in delivering services or programs to the general public. Experience in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet) is required. Experience in coordinating programs, preferably in a First Nation government, would be an asset. Proficiency (spoken and written) in Southern Tutchone would be an asset. An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience will be considered.

Conditions of Employment:

• Valid Yukon Class 5 Drivers License; Yukon Class 4 Drivers License would be an asset
• Clear Criminal Record Check
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• Willingness to work irregular hours, overtime, evenings and/or weekends, when required
• Knowledge of Southern Tutchone language or willingness to learn
