Position: Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper
Reports to: Director of Finance
Duration: Full Time

The Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper is responsible for the day-to-day office and financial administration of the DCI LP and supporting the Director of Finance.

Core Accountabilities:
The Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper has the following accountabilities:

DCI Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper:
• Performing all administrative functions in the office such as filing, document archiving, financial data entry, website maintenance, and monitoring emails, mails, and deliveries
• Board of Directors support including compilation of the board packages and coordination of Board meetings
• Organizing and coordinating meetings, conferences, special events, presentations as well as arranging travel and accommodations for management, board members and employees
• Providing reception services, answering telephones, responding to over-the-counter inquiries and providing information and assistance to client
• Maintaining office supplies inventory
• Data entry of financial information including payroll, process expense claims & honorariums, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliation and managing petty cash fund
• Managing calendar for government remittances – payroll, GST and WCB
• Preparing financial reports for the quarterly board meeting, including profit and loss, cash flow, balance sheet, aging accounts receivable and payables
• Coordinate and oversee the audit processes for DCI Inc. and DCI LP
• Assisting the Director of Finance with financial administration of Dakwakada and DCI subsidiaries

Education / Experience:

In order for an individual to be successful in the role of Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper, they need to meet the following education and/or experience criteria:
• Certificate or Diploma in office or business administration or related experience
• At least three years’ experience in a bookkeeping role
• Strong computer skills and client service orientation are essential (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience using QuickBooks
• Experience in providing financial support services, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
• Significant experience providing executive administrative support services
• Valid Yukon Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Experience working with a Board of Directors and an understanding of Governance is preferred
• Motivated to learn and grow and a positive, fun attitude
