Event: Vitamin D Lunch & Learn Luncheon

Location:  DaKu Cultural Center, Haines Junction, YT

Date:  March 4, 2024

Head Cook (1)

2 Days

Salary: $275.00/day + travel for grocery shopping

Duties: Prepare Lunch and snacks for approximately 100 people

  • Submit menu to supervisor
  • Shop and purchase groceries and supplies on a reasonable budget provided
  • Store food per Food Safe regulations
  • Supervise Cook’s Helper and ensure service areas are kept clean
  • Keep cooking area clean during and at the end of the event
  • Submit receipts and leftover food is distributed as per department instructions
  • Menu must include gluten free and dairy free options
  • Must have Food Safe Level I/II and previous experience

Assistant Cook (1)

2 Days (March 3 & 4, 2024)

Salary: $225.00/day

Duties: Assist Head Cook with:

  • Shopping, food storage, food preparation, service and clean up
  • Set up and dismantling of serving area and assist with meal serving
  • Clean up Kitchen and Service areas
  • Other duties as required
  • Food Safe Level 1 is an asset
