IT System Administrator

Job Summary: The System Administrator is responsible for overall status of CAFN Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems, proactively identifying potential problems and implementing solutions to them. This position is also responsible for managing CAFN help desk, prioritizing and assigning help desk tickets, and resolving these tickets.
The System Administrator works closely with the Site Support Technician, providing him/her second level technical support. The majority of the System Administrator’s work is performed from the ICT office or one of the CAFN server rooms, but occasional site visits may be required.
The System Administrator reports to the position supervisor, the Communications Manager.
Education and Experience: College or diploma(s) in an information and communication technology-related field, and a minimum of two years’ experience working in ICT, including Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft tools and technologies, and computer networking, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience with telecommunication tools, such as phone systems, video conference equipment and cellular phones, would be an asset.
