Salary: Level 6 – $59,955.29 – $70,139.21 (Dependent on experience)

Location: Takhini River Subdivision

Job Summary:  

Under the Direction of the Municipal Foreman, this position performs a wide range of technical, skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair work; Operates, maintains and monitors the Water Treatment Plant and water delivery trucks, operates a wide variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance and replacement of Municipal Services’ facilities and systems; performs basic home maintenance, and solid waste pickup, and performs other duties as may be required. This position is based in Takhini River Subdivision 

Education and Experience:

Grade 10 or equivalent with current certifications for Small Water Systems Operators and Bulk Water Delivery, experience in water plant operation, training in heavy equipment and automotive mechanics and heavy equipment operation or an equivalent combination of training and experience. 

Conditions of Employment:

-Valid Yukon Class 1 driver’s license with air brakes certification and a clear drivers’ abstract

-Current Certification of Bulk Water Delivery and Small Water Systems, and willingness to update training as required by Environmental Operators Certification Program

-Must be willing to travel to Whitehorse and other CAFN Communities

-Must wear CSA approved personal protective equipment as required
