Receptionist (Dän Ts’änānän Program) Competition #19-20-60
Term Full-time (21 weeks, starting as soon as possible)
Salary: Level 4 – $23.55 per hour
Location: Haines Junction
Job Summary: Reporting to the Communications Manager, this position provides a wide range of reception, secretarial, and administrative and clerical support, as a first point of contact, to all departments; and performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience: Grade 12 or equivalency, with successful completion of post-secondary education or training in office administration or secretarial program supplemented with coursework in computer applications such as, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet), or equivalent combination of training and experience providing administrative support services, computer applications, and providing service to the public. Some knowledge of Southern Tutchone language would be an asset.
Conditions of Employment: Willing to respect and maintain confidentiality. A valid Yukon class 5 driver’s license is preferred. Willingness to travel to Whitehorse as required. All Champagne and Aishihik First Nations employees are expected to conduct their duties in a harmonious and cooperative manner intended to enhance the First Nations efforts to build a strong and prosperous Government. Completion of an intake with the Dän Ts’änānän program is a requirement before the interview process Willingness to partake in training opportunities as identified by Dän Ts’änānän program
