Da Kų Cultural Center, Haines Junction, YT

Head Cook (1)
Date: November 19-22, 2018 (4 event days, plus 1 shopping day)
Salary: $350.00 per day

Duties: Prepare nutritional AM snack, Lunch, PM Snack and Dinner for approx. 50-80 people.
• Must submit a Menu for the three days and Dinner Feast on the last day.
• Purchase food and supplies on a reasonable budget provided and transport.
• Prepare all snacks and meals in a timely manner, including the Community Dinner Feast on the last day.
• Supervise and Assist with cleaning of the kitchen and facilities.
• Supervise the Assistant Cook and Cook Helper/Dish Washer.
• Must have Food Safe Level I/II, 1st Aid and previous experience is an asset.

Assistant Cook (1)
Date: November 19-22, 2018 (4 event days, plus 1 shopping day)
Salary: $300.00 per day

Duties: Assisting the Head Cook:
• Assist with the Grocery Shopping and organizing groceries at the Da Ku Kitchen.
• Assist the head cook in prepping all snacks and meals, including the Community Dinner Feast on the last day.
• Set up and dismantling of serving area and assist with serving if necessary.
• Assist with the clean up after snacks, lunch and dinner.
• Assist with the dishes and cleaning of the kitchen and facilities.
• Must have Food Safe Level I, 1st Aid is an asset, previous experience is an asset.

Cook’s Helper #2/Dish Washer Cleaner (1)
Date: November 19-22, 2018 (4 event days)
Salary: $200.00 per day

Duties: Assisting the Head Cooks, Wash dishes, clean kitchen and Hall as needed.
• Help the head cook when required in prepping snacks and meals.
• Ensure the beverage station is set up, kept stocked and clean.
• Wash dishes as required, Clean up after meals and snacks.
• Ensure the kitchen, Hall and serving areas are kept clean.
• Clear tables after event, put the tables and chairs away.
• Final sweep and mop of the Kitchen and the Hall after the event.
All positions are:
• Responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the place of employment.
Cook and Cook Helper Applicants must have valid Food Safe Certification. Each applicant will be responsible to submit an updated resume and copies of all updated certificates.
