Position: Network Technician (2 positions)
(1)Regular Full-time and (1) Term Full-time, with possible extension
Salary: Level 6 – $59,955.29 – $70,139.21 (Dependent on experience)
Location: Haines Junction with frequent travel to Whitehorse

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Governance, and reporting to the Communication Manager, the Network Technician provides hands on assistance in the areas of information and communication technology (ICT), following documented procedures checklists. The role of the Network Technician is to deal with hands-on support tasks, such as installing and configuring new hardware, dealing with hardware failures, network failures, internet connectivity, and managing equipment. The Network Technician also assists with information and communication technology help desk requests in coordination with the System Administrator.

Education and Experience:
The incumbent should possess a high school diploma (GED equivalent), with some post-secondary education in computer equipment (or related field), along with extensive personal experience working with personal computers. Must have previous help desk experience; experience working with telecommunication equipment and Microsoft training (MSC) would be an asset.

Valid Yukon Class 5 Driver’s License with access to a personal vehicle (Must have occasional business use insurance)
