Jett Rudyk carries the puck during his first appearance in the Yukon
First Nation hockey tournament in Whitehorse. The event entered
its 45th year and has grown to give young Indigenous hockey players
their first taste of playing at a prestigious tournament. More than
900 players from all over the Yukon and beyond, enter for a chance
to take home the first place trophy in 8 divisions. From old timers
to junior boys and girls, the annual tournament is one of the largest
sporting events in northern Canada. Champagne Aishihik First Nation
