CAFN Citizens invited to submit candidate questions

The Champagne and Aishihik First Nations Election Board invites all CAFN Citizens to attend the 2026 All Candidates Forum.

This forum provides an opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking election to the positions of Chief, Elder Councillor, Youth Councillor, and Councillor in the upcoming CAFN General Election

Whitehorse Forum

Date: October 1, 2026

Time: 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Location: Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre (Multi Purpose Room)

Haines Junction Forum

Date: October 8, 2026

Time: 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Location: Da Kų Cultural Centre Haines Junction

A Zoom option will also be available for CAFN Citizens. Connection details will be shared prior to the forum.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions on Zoom as well as in person.

During the forum, candidates will:

• Introduce themselves and share their vision for CAFN.

• Respond to questions submitted by citizens.

• Discuss issues important to our community.

• Participate in a moderated question-and-answer session.

Citizens are encouraged to submit questions in advance. Please keep questions respectful and focused on issues that affect CAFN citizens and communities.

This is an important opportunity to become informed before casting your vote in the 2026 CAFN General Election.
