Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Associate Executive Director, the Energy Manager is responsible for
advancing community-driven clean energy initiatives across the Champagne & Aishihik First Nations (CAFN) territory. Working closely with CAFN community members, contractors, and clean energy consultants, this role supports the planning, coordination, and development of renewable energy and energy-efficiency projects. The Energy Manager will ensure that CAFN effectively fulfills its mandate and responsibilities under the CAFN Final Agreement and prioritizes Dän k’e (Our way).

Education and Experience:
Post-secondary degree in Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources, Engineering, Geography, Business Administration or other related discipline, along with considerable experience in project and/or program management. Experience managing human and financial resources, research and report writing and working with multi interest parties is essential. A combination of a diploma in a related discipline along with 2-3 years of relevant training and/or experience may be equally considered.

Conditions of Employment:

  • A valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Criminal Records Check
  • Valid First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain
  • Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends, as required
  • Extended workdays may be required to accomplish tasks and meet workload demands during peak periods, as directed
