Every family has a story. Welcome to ours…
Make new friends and amazing memories.
Located on the doorstep of Canada’s Kluane National Park, you’ll find Shakat Tun Wilderness Camp. Shakat Tun means summer hunting trails in our Southern Tutchone language. We pride ourselves in providing
a rustic1, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for our guests, where we share our cultural activities with those who have an interest in participating in authentic Indigenous experiences.
Our Camp
Yurt Lodge
Our comfortable 10 metre / 32 foot yurt is our main lodge where we serve meals and greet people. Guests can read a book, play a board game, try beading or just spend time sharing stories with us.
Guest Cabins
Our guest cabins provide a rustic yet comfortable atmosphere for our guests. The cabins feature simple amenities and décor and do not have running water or flush toilets. Located near the cabins are comfortable outhouses and a gravity fed shower house.
Gazebo & Campfire
Each evening will offer the opportunity to gather and share stories around the campfire. In the case of inclement weather, we’ll move our fire to the covered fire-pit gazebo.
