Whitehorse – ATV Project Lunch & Learn

March 26, 2024 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Please join Council of Yukon First Nations, Yukon University, One Yukon Coalition, Selkirk First Nation, and Champagne and Aishihik First Nations for a Lunch Q&A to introduce the “Understanding Yukoners’ Attitudes Towards Vaccines Project (ATV Project)”
The ATV Project aims to better understand how people make decisions about COVID-19 and flu vaccines: who Yukoners’ trust, where they get their information, and why they choose to get vaccinated or not. The project will delve deeply into the attitudes and beliefs of CAFN and SFN Citizens and Citizen families, around issues of communication, trust, history, and other factors that may influence the decisions people make around getting COVID-19 and flu vaccines.
To understand how Yukoners make their decisions this project will use a territory-wide survey and community-based conversations. The territory-wide survey will be open to all Yukoners and will provide a broad snapshot of territory-wide trends in vaccine communication and decision-making. The community-based conversations will be led by Champagne and Aishihik First Nations and Selkirk First Nation, and will bring about in-depth information about how community members make vaccine-related decisions, including who they trust to provide information about vaccines.
