CAFN Pandemic Survey

CAFN Pandemic Survey

Champagne and Aishihik First Nations (CAFN) has taken a cautions and proactive approach in our response to COVID-19.  Since March, we have acted to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by closing our offices and buildings, cancelling all gatherings, declaring a state of emergency, limiting staff travel, and directing most staff to work remotely, all while maintaining essential services.

We have also offered supports to help Citizens with new challenges due to COVID-19 including: Citizen COVID-19 assistance, increased Elders benefits, increased income assistance, Education support, nutrition support for CAFN kids up to age 18, and much more.

As COVID-19 restrictions lessen, CAFN continues to plan for our gradual return to more “normal” activities. We will continue to take a cautious approach in the event there is a “second wave” or increased risk of the spread of COVID-19 in our communities.

DÚCH’Į SHĮ – We are always going to be prepared to do what we must do to ensure the safety of our people.  We must remain vigilant, safe and smart.

As we plan and prepare, we want to hear from you, CAFN Citizens, so we can better respond and support you going forward.
