Virtual Update for Citizens on Aishihik Dam Relicensing

Dear Citizens:

Champagne and Aishihik First Nations (CAFN) invites you to join a virtual community meeting as we prepare to submit comments on the current proposal for the long-term operation of the Aishihik Generating Station (AGS).

On July 10, 2020, Yukon Energy submitted their application to YESAB for a 25 year-license (2023 – 2048) for the AGS.  YESAB has now opened up the “Comments” stage for the project. As CAFN prepares our submission to YESAB, we are asking for the public to submit your views and information to us. This portion forms one aspect of our response to Yukon Energy’s upcoming 25 year water license application.

CAFN will be hosting two virtual information sessions in November to provide Citizens with an update and to gather your input on the YESAB submission.

To guide and strengthen CAFN’s submission to YESAB, please join us for one of the sessions hosted virtually:

Tuesday, November 10, 2020               OR                  Thursday, November 12, 2020

1:30 – 4:00 p.m.                                                                 6 to 8:30 p.m.

This online gathering is intended primarily as an opportunity to share information with CAFN citizens on the project status of the AGS relicensing and CAFN response. The discussion during this event will also help to inform the submission prepared by the CAFN technical team.

Door prizes will be available!

Registration is required to participate.  For more information and to register, please contact:
